The Bonny Method of Guided Imagery & Music (GIM)
The Bonny Method of Guided Imagery & Music (GIM) is a deep dive into your psyche. The experience, much like a waking dream, enables individuals to access inner resources to illuminate or resolve past and current issues. It is for individuals who have already engaged in talk therapy and want to go one step further. GIM is well suited for healers, seekers, spiritually-minded individuals, and intuitives.
GIM sessions can be utilized in a brief format (1-3 sessions) with a specific focus, or in a series (5-10 sessions) to explore patterns more deeply.
I offer a 20-minute complimentary video consultation. This gives you a chance to meet me and ask any questions about the process of doing therapy together. I will gather basic information about why you're reaching out and what kind of support you're seeking.

Private Pay
I am committed to rebuilding systems that do not serve our health and wellbeing as humans. Because of this, I focus on offering a private pay therapy experience outside of the demands of insurance companies. Insurance companies often want to dictate how many sessions you can receive and require a diagnosis that proves you are receiving counseling because it's medically necessary. I prefer to focus solely on your needs without insurance companies calling the shots.
Insurance
I also recognize we have to survive in this world and within imperfect systems. I am in-network with commercial Aetna plans and Blue Cross Blue Shield/Anthem. If you choose to use insurance benefits for therapy, please indicate this during the complimentary consultation.
I am out-of-network with all other insurance companies. If you are interested in working with me but have financial barriers, please set up a complimentary consultation so we can discuss your options.

FAQs
Are sessions conducted in-person or online?
I offer both in-person and online sessions for client located in the state of Virginia.
Is online therapy the right fit for me?
If you are located in Virginia but not within the vicinity of Staunton, online therapy is available and can be just as effective as in-person therapy. You will need a strong and reliable internet connection and a space where you have 100% privacy.
During the complimentary consultation, I will be assessing if online therapy is the right fit for you. If I sense that in-person therapy would be a better option, I will provide referral options in your area.
If you are experiencing suicidal thoughts or are in crisis, you should seek in-person services at your local community services board.
What if I want to use my insurance, but it's not Aetna or BCBS/Anthem?
Contact your insurance company to learn what out-of-network benefits you carry. Make sure to let them know you want to meet with a provider who is licensed in Virginia, but is not in-network. Some insurance plans will reimburse services from an out-of-network provider. I provide superbills upon request.
