Licensed Professional Counselor &
Board Certified Music Therapist
Hello. I offer a compassionate, warm, and nurturing space to learn about yourself. My practice is designed to help you explore and live into your personal values by connecting with your inner wisdom.
My counseling approach is holistic and utilizes mindfulness, guided imagery, body awareness, and self-compassion. I specialize in anxiety, chronic stress, grief, women's issues, life transitions, and relationship concerns.
Telehealth sessions are available for residents of Virginia.
I offer music therapy sessions utilizing The Bonny Method of Guided Imagery & Music (GIM). This music-centered approach evokes images, memories, emotions, and creative insights that can help uncover and illuminate inner resources.
In-person GIM sessions are suspended at this time due to COVID-19. Please contact me for additional information.
I reside in the prairies of South Dakota and have also called the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia home. I draw from the natural world, music, and literature as inspiration in my work as a therapist.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Virginia and a Board-Certified Music Therapist (MT-BC). I received my M.A. in Counseling from Eastern Mennonite University and my B.S. in Music Therapy from Indiana University. I am a Fellow by the Association of Music & Imagery and completed training for The Bonny Method of Guided Imagery & Music through the Atlantis Institute of Consciousness. My previous work includes utilizing music therapy in a non-profit hospice and working in college counseling centers at James Madison University and University of Virginia.
